An excellent film, though one desperately in need of some editing. No one can deny that Kitamura has a hell of a visual flair; and this film is a great example of his abilities, self-indulgent though they may be.

Plot: In an elaborate fantasy world, an elite group of swordsmen are gathered to fend off the evil demons who are constantly trying to break into the human world by possessing its inhabitants.
Plot: Jimmy Wang Yu is a two-armed swordsman who is betrayed by a jealous rival, but initially seeks a life of simple pleasures until an accidental meeting with another patriot sets him back on the road to bloody, brutal vengeance.

A pretty thin story and some very weird acting, but this film is packed with fight scenes and is a blast to watch! Probably at least 90 of this film's 107 minutes are fights, and good ones too. Martial arts fans shouldn't miss this gem.
Plot: In "The Bastard" Lily Li plays a beggar girl that becomes a target for evil men plotting to make "The Bastard" a scapegoat for murder because he happens to like the son of a jailed dignitary's son accused of murder.
Plot: To avenge the murder of his family and the abduction of his sister by three brigands, a young man undertakes a relentless search while perfecting his fighting skills.
Plot: Two best friends travel to Shanghai, where they quickly rise up in the echelons of Shanghai's underworld...that is, until the Big Boss pits them against each other in a bloody finale.
Plot: Director Chu Yuan uses two editors and three martial arts choreographers to tell a maacabre tale of kidnapping, murder, frame-ups, and even being buried alive. Swordsmen and women struggle to save their true loves...and their sanity.
Plot: Legendary Hong Kong director Tsui Hark blends violent action and stunning swordplay in his remake of the Shaw Brothers classic "One-Armed Swordsman".
Plot: The directorial debut of veteran Thai action comedian Petchtai Wongkamlao ("Ong-Bak") is a side-splitting satire about the life of hapless personal bodyguard Wongkom, who fails to protect the kingdom's most successful businessman.
Although the characters and plot are paper thin, this film redeems itself in its creative action sequences. Jet Li's lightning fast precision moves are impressive as always, and the fight choreography is fresh and enjoyable.
A very fun film with fights galore, and a lot of personality. Yuen Wo Ping's choreography and Joseph Kuo's direction keep things moving along nicely and keep everything interesting.

Plot: Wu Yuan Chun plays a layman expelled from Shaolin for fighting who becomes the champion for a village that has long suffered under the oppression of gangsters. When Wu's loved ones are murdered, he seeks revenge.
