This is the best food documentary we've ever seen. The sandwiches are criminally mouth-watering, the locales fascinating, and the overall tone is fun and thoroughly enjoyable. Get your drool on.
Plot: Keaton stars as Bertie Van Alstyne, the spoiled son of a powerful Wall Street financier. Unable to escape the wealth and comfort that are foisted upon him, he pursues individuality in a series of comic misadventures all around New York.
This film's mix of comedy and drama felt very uneven to us, but lead actress Michelle Krusiec's performance is a clear stand-out and there are definitely some memorable scenes.
While most viewers seem to enjoy this film's irreverent blend of genres, we feel that the slapstick comedy undermined the drama, and vice versa. However, one thing is for sure, the supercharged, supernatural action/martial arts sequences will wow even the most jaded viewer!
This film is absolutely vicious--it grabs you and refuses to let go until the last minute. Highly recommended thriller (with a fair bit of graphic violence). Think "The Hitcher" meets "Cape Fear".
