This film is a martial arts dream. Absolutely brilliant performances, and martial arts sequences like nothing you've ever seen before.
The film itself is really dated, chock full of mediocre gags, and is a bit difficult to sit through. But the fight sequences make up for it. This gem is easily on a par with the best films of its era in terms of fight choreography.
Lazaro Ramos gives a terrific performance as the title character, whose innocent infatuation with the girl next door--and the lengths to which he'll go to woo her--is both endearing and fun to watch.
Though the ultra-dry deadpan humor may not be for everyone, it most certainly was for us. A perfect example of how understated characters and under-acting can have the most impact.
