A very enjoyable, creepy, quality series from the UK, which relies on eerie atmospherics and great performances to generate scares.
A cheesy show, to be sure; but its shining star is the the black beauty, the modified Bell 222 that assumes the role of the world's most advanced helicopter. Classic 1980s, brilliant music by Sylvester Levay, and one hell of a beautiful bird.
A hesitant recommendation from us here. We love the Ali G character, but we feel he's at his funniest when he's ad-libbing interviews rather than reading these semi-funny lines. Gross-out humor abounds.
Comparing this film to the original is a bit apples-and-oranges, but this film focuses (and succeeds) on quantity and spectacle where the first focused more on intimate suspense.
