A must for gore fans, if for no other reason than for the closeup of someone getting stabbed in the eye with a knife in slow motion (oozes lots of goop!). Consider yourself forewarned...this is not one to watch during dinner.

Angelica Lee's unique beauty and organic acting style are the perfect complement to Centro's brilliant, understated digital effects. The Pang Brothers' direction is stunning--this film is as beautiful as it is terrifying.

This bizarre and stunningly beautiful film is reminiscent of the 1964 classic "Onibaba" in that it features two desperate female protagonists on the margins of civilization. But its aesthetic beauty belies the shocking viciousness lurking just below the surface.
A pretty mediocre film, but one that is thankfully jam-packed with must-see martial arts by the amazing Jacky Wu Jing. Some really fresh choreography too, good fun!

It's terrific to see Jet Li return to the kind of quality martial arts films we all love him for. This one's a classic, right up there with "Fist Of Legend".
