Overview:	Internationally-acclaimed, award-winning director Alan Clarke (Scum, The Firm, Contact) turns in one of his most avant-garde films, weaving a hybrid tale of gangsters and snooker players, constructed as a high-adrenalin modern musical. Scripted by Trevor Preston (The Sweeney, Ace of Wands), Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire showcases a musical score by the BAITA-winning, Oscar-nominated George Fenton (The Blue Planet, Gandhi) and features strong performances from both Phil Daniels (Castenders, Quadrophenia) as Billy and Alun Armstrong (Bleak House, Mew Tricks) as Maxwell Randall, The Green Baize Vampire. Billy Kid is a seventeen year old boy who loves to play snooker. He could be the best in the world, but the seven times world champion, Maxwell Randall, disagrees. Both characters are a tad eccentric - Billy lives in a cowboy fantasy and Maxwell sleeps in a coffin - and a showdown is staged between the young cowboy and the old vampire, in which the loser will never play professional snooker again...
