| Overview: | With the same name, this film is based on the best-selling documentary book "Basic Interests". The folk song in the China plateau flows from generation to generation unmasking the hardships of the peasants. The spark out of a fighting between villagers reveals the untold stories, which are about a warrior; a coffin without being buried for thirteen years; a meeting with the authority being waited for thirty-two years; and a group of poor peasants being oppressed. What are the underlying causes? And what are the rationales? Through the untouched stories, Director Feng helps the peasants to appeal...
