This is a hilarious crime caper on a par with the best of 'em. It's a non-stop rollercoaster of style and fun and excitement and surprising twists, without the annoying slow spots that so often bog down caper films.
Perhaps good for a laugh, but not much more. Steven Seagal's voice is dubbed by someone else for most of the dialog, which surprisingly doesn't help the film. Gary Daniels is totally wasted in a lame 30 second fight with Seagal. And why is everyone glistening?
"Survive Style 5+" can be described as a wacky Japanese version of "Pulp Fiction", on steroids, and with better acting. The originality, colors, and cinematography of this dark comedy give it a surreal ambiance rarely found in films today.
