A hesitant recommendation from us here. We love the Ali G character, but we feel he's at his funniest when he's ad-libbing interviews rather than reading these semi-funny lines. Gross-out humor abounds.
"Hot Fuzz" tries so hard to be exciting and funny that it can't help but fail on both counts. The result is an irritating, mediocre--yet very loud--mess.
