Designed to appeal to teen audiences, this film largely succeeds as a result of the terrific action scenes. However the plot could have been a little bit more developed.
Though the subject matter of this film is close to that of the Young And Dangerous series (in fact it shares several characters), its effectiveness is hampered by its failure to make us care about any of its characters.
The Young & Dangerous series is an obvious standout in the world of Chinese films. The quality of the acting and the creativity and care of Andrew Lau's direction will endear this film and all its characters to you immediately. We wholeheartedly recommend the entire series.
