The blurb describes this film as "oddly gripping", and that's really the perfect description. The characters and dialog are surprisingly rich. Unfortunately, it has a "made for TV" feel. Someone should definitely re-make this one.
A very fun--albeit very trite--action-adventure, with gunfights and jungle chases galore, and an amiable group of protagonists.
