Stunning production values and cinematography, though we were unimpressed by the meandering story and CGI effects. There is also not as much martial arts action here as there is rumored to be.
Perfectly managing the delicate balance between comedy and sincerity, this is one of our favorite films. The friendship that blossoms between these two men is an unforgettable sight to behold.
The film starts to drag a bit towards the end, but the visuals are so breathtaking and original that it's of little consequence. Overall a highly enjoyable mystery thriller with unrivaled aesthetics.
