Plot:	Professor Charles Rankin (Orson Welles) lives with his wife in a pastoral Connecticut town. But things aren't always what they seem, as the arrival of a mysterious stranger in town reveals that Rankin is actually notorious Nazi war criminal Franz Kindler.
Overview:	Orson Welles plays a college professor named Charles Rankin, who lives in a pastoral Connecticut town with his lovely wife Mary (Loretta Young). When an extremely nervous German gentleman named Meineke (Konstantin Shayne) arrives in town, Professor Rankin invites the stranger for a walk in the woods, where we learn that kindly Professor Rankin is actually notorious Nazi war criminal Franz Kindler.
