We were very impressed with the fight choreography in this one. The "Scorpion Technique" in particular is a blast to watch, but every fight sequence is packed with ingenuity and creative moves you haven't ever seen before!
This film has widely been considered the Holy Grail of martial arts films, due to its legendary reputation, its cast, and its unexplained obscurity on DVD. It is indeed an excellent film, though perhaps lacking somewhat as far as quantity of fight scenes. The clear highlight of the film is the fight between Sammo Hung and Lau Kar Leung--a fu fan's dream.
While most viewers seem to enjoy this film's irreverent blend of genres, we feel that the slapstick comedy undermined the drama, and vice versa. However, one thing is for sure, the supercharged, supernatural action/martial arts sequences will wow even the most jaded viewer!
