A pretty thin story and some very weird acting, but this film is packed with fight scenes and is a blast to watch! Probably at least 90 of this film's 107 minutes are fights, and good ones too. Martial arts fans shouldn't miss this gem.
Plot: Chein (Lee) moves with his cousins to work at an ice factory after promising not to be involved with fighting. When members of his family begin disappearing after meeting with the management of the factory, he breaks his vow and takes on the Big Boss.
This film is an amazing achievement in both storytelling and fight choreography. The director's simple, economical camera setups mirror the brutal efficiency of the karate on display here. A wonderful breath of fresh air in the martial arts genre.
Plot: This martial arts tale of betrayal and revenge explores one of the most sensational scandals in Chinese history, as Ti Lung takes on the challenging role of a jealous provincial governor who kills his friend in order to steal the man's wife.

Not a bad film, and it's fun to see Gordon Liu looking so young (and Eric Tsang, if you can spot him!). But there wasn't enough action, and the whole Pao competition just didn't work for us.
A modern-day (when it was made, in 1977) tale of a poor Chinese immigrant struggling to survive in San Francisco's Chinatown. His fighting skills open up many doors for him, but he struggles to stay the moral course.
