This film is a total mess. The filmmakers decided to try to "explain" the mystery of Michael Myers with some gobbledygook about a satanic cult, but they edited out most of the "explanation", leaving only nonsense. There is a bootleged "producer's cut" floating around the internet with all the cut footage intact.
As fans of the series (which completely derailed in Part 6), this is a very special film to us. Halloween returns to its roots in this very effective installement, delivering enjoyable dialog, characters, storyline, and scares.
A travesty. Director DICK Rosenthal once again follows up an excellent film (first "Halloween" and now "Halloween H20") with the worst possible tripe. This guy needs to be stopped.
Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from Rob Zombie: a disgusting, foul-mouthed, trailer trash bonanza, in which not only are the film's victims raped, but also the audience and any remaining value of the Michael Myers character.
This is totally retarded. Forget any promises of "a return to old school horror", this is a ridiculously bad home-made comedy film with some lame gore in it.
