Great story, great acting and great locations in this romance about a young woman’s love after her husband’s death. Michelle Yeoh is a bonus!
Here's a real mixed bag for you. This film's bursting at the seams with cliches and ridiculousness, plus the special effects are shockingly amateurish at times. However, the premise makes for such interesting situations and food for throught that it all somehow works.
In the tradition of "The Station Agent" and "Lost In Translation", this fish out of water story is both funny and touching. Director John Jeffcoat has created a truly special film here, and an incredibly nuanced portrait of India itself.
