A hesitant recommendation from us here. We love the Ali G character, but we feel he's at his funniest when he's ad-libbing interviews rather than reading these semi-funny lines. Gross-out humor abounds.

The pilot episode is HORRENDOUS, but the rest of the show is actually quite funny. The highlight of the show is very clearly Amy Hill's performance as Grandma--hilarious.
A fun dark comedy/horror that's a bit more intelligent than most films of the genre. Witty dialog and performances keep the film afloat, though it isn't quite scary or funny enough to truly impress.

An odd but engaging film about a man's last days with his friends and family. There's not much plot; it's mostly just a kind of celebration of the man's life, which unfortunately we didn't find to be all that fascinating or celebration-worthy.
Plot: The exceptionally wimpy Alfred Butler (Buster Keaton) is mistaken for a renowned prizefighter. To impress a young lady, he carries on the ruse; but his harmless charade is soon complicated by the untimely arrival of the true contender.
