Not quite as enjoyable as "Odd Couple", but a definite must for martial arts fans nonetheless. Amazing action from Sammo and Lau Kar Wing during the golden age of martial arts cinema.
Plot: To Tex Avery "animated cartoons" meant a world where anything can happen--for a laugh! He set the standard for screwball Hollywood cartoons in the 1940s and 50s, inspiring animators ever since.
In our estimation, this film represents the absolute best work of director Mina Shum and actress Sandra Oh. The interplay between riotous comedy and poignant drama is handled a wonderfully seamless and human way. One of our favorite films.
This film has the best special effects we've seen on any HK film to date (2000). Combined with a great story, fantastic directing, and outstanding action sequences, it's a must-see for any film lover. Extremely high production values.
A terrific film with the unique adventure of three colorful and endearing characters. The only thing preventing this film from being truly great is the unsatisfying ending, which felt like a bit of a cop-out to us.
You'd never believe it unless you've seen it, but Sammo Hung is the best Bruce Lee impersonator around. Check this out for some brilliant comedy, jaw-dropping damsels, and energized old school fights!
A rare instance where the sequel is better than the original, this one jam-packs even more gore and comedy into the mix, making for a laugh-out-loud screamer.
