This movie is impossible to review in a couple sentences. Let's just say the first half completely KICKS ASS, and the second half--well, kind of eats it.

Plot: Based on the same Swedish folklore as Wes Craven's "Last House On The Left", this brooding medieval tale begins when a young girl is raped and murdered, and then her killers seek refuge at her family's house. Her family, needless to say, ain't too happy.
Director Sofia Coppola is a genius. She's the master of the "soak" film--just sit back and "soak" in the rich, fascinating atmosphere and characters she creates.
