Director Johnnie To turns in another delicious slice of the Hong Kong underworld captured on film. Witness a triad dispute escalate relentlessly to the boiling point.
An excellent, excellent film, in the tradition of "Cinema Paradiso" and "The Notebook", featuring a wonderful score, and top quality work by the entire cast and crew. Xiao Jiang is definitely a director to watch for.

This bizarre and stunningly beautiful film is reminiscent of the 1964 classic "Onibaba" in that it features two desperate female protagonists on the margins of civilization. But its aesthetic beauty belies the shocking viciousness lurking just below the surface.
It's terrific to see Jet Li return to the kind of quality martial arts films we all love him for. This one's a classic, right up there with "Fist Of Legend".

If you're a fan of the genre, this should definitely satisfy. Meiko Kaji's quiet, intense glares effectively take the place of dialog in this classic cult revenge flick.
This installment in the series feels a bit sleazier and less compelling than its predecessors, but is a must for fans of the genre nonetheless. Meiko Kaji's constantly simmering glare is reason enough to watch!
Actor Melik Malkasian brings a riotous but sometimes painfully familiar character to life in this comedy, which should be required viewing for all film fans! Also recommended: the documentary, "Cinemania".
Simply our favorite Jet Li film, featuring some of the best fight choreography, acting, and cinematography we've seen. The plot is easy to follow, and this film is always a joy to watch. If you only buy one martial arts DVD in your life, this is the one it should be.
