One of the all-time classics of the genre, this is required viewing for any noir buff.
In our estimation, this film represents the absolute best work of director Mina Shum and actress Sandra Oh. The interplay between riotous comedy and poignant drama is handled a wonderfully seamless and human way. One of our favorite films.
Not on the level of "King Of Kong", as it's often compared to, but a very moving story about a really neat kid nonetheless.
A very odd film, to be sure, but Depp and Landau are excellent as always, and their characters make the trip worthwhile.
