A super-fun popcorn flick with surprisingly good martial arts sequences, "Blade" definitely deserves more credit for expanding the genre than it usually gets, having been overshadowed by "The Matrix".
Stunning production values and cinematography, though we were unimpressed by the meandering story and CGI effects. There is also not as much martial arts action here as there is rumored to be.
It's terrific to see Jet Li return to the kind of quality martial arts films we all love him for. This one's a classic, right up there with "Fist Of Legend".
This is a cute, enjoyable family film with lots of action, but it will almost certainly be a let-down for any serious martial arts fan. Recommended for families or casual viewers only.
