Some say this film is the most authentic martial arts movie ever made. We tend to agree. Oh, and by the way, there is a great story as well!
The fights are better than they have any right to be, including some nice moves and special effects that you don't see too often. However, the entire middle of the film is bogged down with slow-paced and unnecessary exposition.
The documentary portion of the film is fantastic. Unfortunately, the "short film" segments are irritating, insufficiently lit, and not of much interest.
