Plot: Three diverse lives cross over each other. They have very different personalities; they are good friends; they love each other in different ways.
Plot: "Ballot Measure 9" is a chilling portrayal of a divisive anti-gay campaign initiative and the unprecedented violence it provoked -- such that activists risking their lives were given full-time police protection.
A surprisingly good romantic comedy about false idols and self-acceptance. Offers an insightful--if often lighthearted--look at the social mores that perpetuate and hinder modern day relationships. Jordan Chan's brilliance, as always, illuminates his supporting role and lends credibility to the entire film.

Plot: The film centers on two roommates and ex-lovers. David is a cynical, gay actor turned waiter, and firmly believes there is no such thing as "love"; Candy is a lonely book reviewer desperately searching for love, even though deep down she loves David.
The steady decline in the quality of Cho's stand-up routines continues, at an unfortunately accelerated pace. Here's a summary: say "suck cock", wait for applause; do "gay black male" voice, wait for applause; say "republicans are stupid", wait for applause; repeat.

The perfect companion piece to "I'm The One That I Want", this follow-up routine sees Margaret Cho's brilliant irreverence captured once again on film. A bit raunchy, perhaps, but Cho's storytelling talent is, as always, undeniable.

Yo Bo, Zhang Jian, Meng Hao, Xiao Yu, Yang Qing, Ma Ran Drama / Romance
Plot: One of the first Chinese openly-gay films to make it to the big screen, "The Old Testament" offers a rare glimpse at gay life behind communist borders. Biblical references weave together three engaging vignettes on sexuality, homophobia, and AIDS.

Plot: After two homosexuals are murdered, police officers Sammo Hung and Alan Tam must go undercover as homosexuals to catch the killer. Ignorant, blatantly homophobic "humor" abounds--not for the easily offended.
Plot: Law Kar-Sing (George Lam) is a 46-year-old counselor who is living with his much younger lover, Sonny (Jordan Chan), a hairdresser. The story revolves around their relationship, and the homophobia they live around.

Plot: A close-knit group of poly-sexual, multiracial West Hollywood friends are involed in hook-ups and break-ups galore. As love, lust and controversy swirl around this playful bunch, you won't be able to help but fall in love with these great friends.
Plot: Teenage runaway Bobby is given shelter by a friendly cult of Satanists. But Bobby's presence--and his questionable sexuality--leads to conflicts within the cult, in this hilarious, homophobic, and just plain insane film.
This film's mix of comedy and drama felt very uneven to us, but lead actress Michelle Krusiec's performance is a clear stand-out and there are definitely some memorable scenes.
