This movie is laughably bad, featuring an awkward mix of comedy and violence that totally doesn't work. Apparently the director wanted to make a comedy but was forced into doing an action pic. The result is this mess.
The blurb describes this film as "oddly gripping", and that's really the perfect description. The characters and dialog are surprisingly rich. Unfortunately, it has a "made for TV" feel. Someone should definitely re-make this one.
It seems almost a crime to try to describe "Carnival Of Souls" with words alone, as it is such a visually impactful and atmospherically unforgettable film. To be sure, it must be seen to be appreciated, and we recommend that you do just that.
A predictable romantic comedy that sometimes thinks it's a drama. Recommended primarily for fans of Ringo Lam or Sally Yeh.
