Though this film is fun, we feel that the amateurish direction severely diminishes its overall effect. Both of the big fight scenes were shot much too close-up to be able to really follow much; and the car races are laughably sped up. There is some real gold hidden among the pyrite, however. Jackie's martial arts performance is consistently energetic, and his trademark acrobatic escapades still wow.
A very fun, lighthearted actioner along the lines of the recent James Bond films. It's full of plot twists; fancy spy gadgets; exotic locations; creative fight scenes; and all the car, bike, skateboard, truck, boat, and jet-ski chases you can handle!
We were simply shocked by the jaw-dropping martial arts scenes in this sequel, which is ten times more fun than its predecessor. Check your brain at the door, and witness some of the finest and funnest fight scenes ever put on film. A real surprise, and a true must-see for fu fans.
This movie is impossible to review in a couple sentences. Let's just say the first half completely KICKS ASS, and the second half--well, kind of eats it.
