Please do not use this forum to promote other websites or merchants, to post service-related issues, or to undermine HKFlix's efforts to create a safe place for our users. Above All, Be Constructive. Use this public forum to build community, express yourself, and help each other, never to antagonize. Play Nice. Never use this forum to belittle, intimidate, ridicule, or otherwise bully other users. Personal attacks or vulgarities of any kind will not be tolerated. Avoid dismissive name-calling such as "fanboys"--we're all fans here, and we each have our own valid opinions. If you can't convey your opinion without being hurtful, please do not participate. Elaborate. If you disagree with another user, you should respectfully and intelligently outline why you disagree. Shoot Straight. If you're here to promote your film, feel free. But be upfront about your connections, don't be sneaky and pretend to be an objective party. Or Else... If you are not able to follow these guidelines, your posts may be removed and your account may be disabled. FILM REVIEWS GUIDELINES: Above All, Be Helpful. Voice your opinions clearly and back them up with examples. Vague, unqualified comments such as "this movie was okay" don't really help anyone. Try something more informative, like "Jet Li is in top form here, but his co-stars don't seem up to the physical challenge". Avoid Attacks On Other Fans. Comments such as "this film is for losers and fanboys" serve no purpose other than to diminish the author's credibility. Focus your critique on the film itself. Avoid Repetition. Comments such as "I wish I could get these 2 hours of my life back", while valid, are used so frequently that they become meaningless. Find original ways to get your point across. Avoid Technical Comments. Your review and your rating must apply to all versions of the film, so please leave out comments about a poor quality transfer, a great audio commentary track, etc. If you have technical comments on a DVD, please email them to us separately so we can post them under the appropriate product page. Avoid Profanity. While we may allow profanity in the context of certain legitimate writing styles, we prefer to avoid it whenever possible; and we will certainly remove anything that we deem unacceptable or hurtful at our own discretion. The best solution? Avoid the entire issue by finding creative ways of speaking your piece rather than resorting to profanity. Proofread! Our staff edits each review, but time and available staff do not always allow for perfection. Please use proper capitalization and spelling, and do your best to construct complete and proper sentences. Give your review a quick once-over to make improvements before sending it in. This will earn you the respect of your readers.
