All About DVD Returns
NOTE: This form is for DVD returns only. For non-DVD returns, please contact us. A 25% restocking fee applies to non-DVD returns.
DEFECTIVE DVD RETURNS:
We at HKFlix.com pride ourselves on providing quality import DVDs at the most affordable prices. Unfortunately, sometimes problems do occur, which sometimes prevent our customers from realizing the full enjoyment of their purchase. Our goal is to help correct the problem as soon as possible. Common DVD problems include disc recognition errors and picture skipping. These problems are the result of one of following:
- DVD Player Incompatibility
To eliminate this problem, we ask that you play test a potential defective DVD on at least one other DVD player of different make an model. If the disc plays fine on the other DVD player, you have a problem with your DVD player. In many cases, your laser head may need cleaning. Most DVD player manufacturers recommend using a cleaning kit every 4-6 months.
- Scratched Or Dirty Discs
Scratches on the surface of the disc are a common problem and are usually the result of the disc becoming dislodged from the case spindle during transit. HKFlix never sends DVDs that are loose in the case. Normally a few scratches won't affect playback. Many "spindle marks" can also be removed by simply using your thumb to buff them out. You can also buy an inexpensive automated disc repair machine from us, a worthwhile investment if you have multiple scratched or damaged DVDs. We ask that you clean the disc and attempt to play it before filling out the below RMA form.
- Defective DVD
If the suggestions above do not help, please completely fill out the RMA Request Form below.
HKFlix pays return shipping to you. You must pay shipping to us.
NON-DEFECTIVE DVD RETURNS:
HKFlix will accept returns of your brand new, unopened DVDs that you have purchased from us. A $2.25 per unit restocking fee applies to single unit DVD returns. Multi-disc sets are charged $1.75 per DVD in the set. We do not issue cash refunds. You will be issued store credit. We must charge a restocking fee because we are charged a credit card fee for every DVD we sell. The restocking fee reimburses us for credit card costs incurred as well as reshipping fees from our returns processing center to the warehouse.
RMAs can only be issued for purchases made within 30 days. After issuance of a RMA, we must receive the return DVD(s) within 10 days.
Please allow 2 weeks for return processing after it has been received by us. You will be notified via email when your return is being processed. We kindly ask that you do not contact us asking for status of a return unless it has been more than 30 days after you have send the DVD back to us. Please insure all returns for the original purchase price, and send it back via a trackable shipping method.

Note: Defective discs can only be exchanged for another copy of the same title. VCDs are non-returnable.
NOTE: We only replace the disc itself. Replacement discs are inserted in your existing DVD case. Thus, we urge you to well-pack your DVD for return to us. Discs that are damaged in shipping to us due to insufficient customer packaging may not be replaced.
