HKFlix Says: 4 Stars
Many people are unimpressed by this film. We, on the other hand, feel that this is an awesomely fun (albeit stupid) action movie. The plot, acting, and sets are horrible; BUT the fight choreography shows Jackie at his most creative!
Avg. Rating:
3.7 / 5 (based on 17 ratings). What did you think of it?
Plot:Jackie Chan travels to America for his uncle's wedding and ends up having to go up against a gang of vicious, motorcycle-riding hoodlums. Things are further complicated when Jackie befriends a young, wheelchair-bound boy and must protect him.
Overview:Since bursting onto the martial arts film scene in 1973, Jackie Chan has become one of the world's most popular stars. His movies--which he acts in, performs his own stunts for, and often directs--have earned millions at the box office. "Rumble in the Bronx," one of his biggest hits to date, takes him to the mean streets of New York City. Chan plays Keung, a Chinese tourist who goes up against a gang of vicious, motorcycle-riding hoodlums. Keung runs into the thugs when they attack his uncle's store and he fights them to protect it. Although his martial arts skills come in handy, Keung soon has his hands full facing more dangerous opponents--a vicious band of jewel thieves masquerading as F.B.I. agents. Now Keung now must protect not only his uncle's store, but also his beautiful neighbor, Nancy, and her wheelchair-bound younger brother. What follows are numerous action-packed fight sequences. Will this one-man army be able to defeat his deadly enemies?
