| Overview: | The ups and downs of triad life are vividly shown in this gritty, semi-realistic portrayal of "Tai Fei", a feared head of pimps at the notorious Portland Street district of Hong Kong. Fei's complicated relationships with his ex-lovers and his own son, and his frequent run-ins with the rival gangs hungry for his turf soon pave the way for violence, bloodshed, and heroic justice.
This wannabe sequel to the Young And Dangerous series is somewhat of an embarrassment, and the original filmmakers clearly had nothing to do with it. It seems to be a sleazy attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Young And Dangerous series. The acting, production, and script are all sub-par; and this film will surely disappoint fans who are accustomed to the high quality of the real Young And Dangerous series (as well as "Portland Street Blues", "Those Were The Days", and "Born To Be King"). If you're just in the mood for silly, low budget fun, this one might work for you; but otherwise, we'd recommend something else. A real let-down from a film whose subject matter could have been very interesting.
