Plot:	An epic love story set against the Japanese occupation of Shanghai. Anita Mui plays a torch singer who is romanced by a member of the Chinese resistance, and by a Japanese agent.
Overview:	A tragic love story set against the always volatile and often violent backdrop of Shanghai during the Japanese occupation and at the opening of the Pacific Theater of the Second World War. A nightclub singer (Anita Mui) becomes involved with both a member of the Chinese resistance and an officer of the Japanese army.
