| Plot: | Two comic book writers find themselves falling in love with the same girl. Their friendly competition leads to the respective creation of two popular comic heroes, who spring to life and give their creative fathers advice on settling the stormy matter.
|
| Overview: | Two aspiring artists (Julian Cheung and Eason Chan) manage to break into the comic business as assistants. There they meet a lovely office assistant (Ruby Lin), and the beginnings of a love triangle start to unfold. As the two artists work on the books, the world of the comic itself is played out in live action.
Comic King pokes fun at several of the trademarks of the comic industry, including the marketing and packaging of the comics themselves. Those familiar with the "industry" will enjoy the in-joke references.
