| A Hollywood production in every respect, Chan said that, even though he has starred in films that involved Hollywood studios before, he wanted to learn how Hollywood films are made, from the lighting to the photography.
Previously, Chan had been used to his particular style of action comedy but, with Rush Hour, he will be working with a new director.
After three months of filming, Chan also learned that punctuality is very important. His days start and end regularly and everyone involved in action sequences is protected whereas, in Hong Kong, he may get called to the set at 7 am but not do anything until 11 am.
Chan also got three hours to work out at the gym everyday. He said that filming in the U.S. was more peaceful because he did not get bothered as much. |
