| Overall not a bad movie, as far as action and gunplay goes. The characters, unfortunately, are not well developed enough for you to care about. There never seems to be much going on between AK and Joey Man's character. Watching this film, you just really don't care about anyone in it. The only character you really even care about is Max Mok, and this is because he does a pretty good job of playing a quiet Chow Yun Fat type character. Other than that, this movie is watchable because its slick look and action. There are two good action pieces, the first being the part where he is in the shootout and she is helping him through radio contact. The second being the final shootout in the film. Those two scenes, and the appealing character of AK give this movie an average, middle of the road rating. Nothing special, but give it a watch or two if you like John Woo shootout assassin movies like The Killer, even though this one is not near as good. |
