The storyline apart, the performance of the cast is good. Ng, for a change, does not try too hard in his acting, and Anthony Wong, Cheung Tat-ming and Dayo Wong excel in their comic performance, interacting with Kwan Hoi-san and Chan Tze-ching to produce a group portrait of the education system. Even though the young actors are very inexperienced, the audience can feel their energy. This film vaguely attempts to tackle the problems of the Hong Kong education system and youth issues through the story of a recovering mental patient, but it misses the point.
