Without getting into too much detail, the action revolves around an attractive young woman who has risen through the ranks to become the private secretary to a large cosmetics firm's president and is engaged to marry his son (heir to the biz). On her way to the top the girl had a brief affair with one of the lower ranking guys in the sales dept. and he still has feelings for her. After making it with a ditzy prostitute she suggests that he risk all for love and they set up a kidnapping of the secretary, tie her up, and have sex with her--then use photos of the incident to coerce her into further sexual liaisons and humiliations through a series of plot and character twists through to the rather strange conclusion.

This film was visually very artfully conceived, and therein lies the problem, of sorts. The bondage sequences are almost like art tableaus, and while this makes the point that Japanese bondage IS sort of an artform, the scene's potential sexiness suffers. There is also somewhat goofy accordion music (reminded me of a Tinto Brass Italian score) that didn't help to set the mood. The female lead is very attractive (especially when tied up!), but her character's motivation is not well defined and her response to all the sexual abuse she is going through doesn't seem to phase her--as I said at the outset, it's enigmatic.

This IS one of the classiest pinku S&M flicks I've seen come out of Japan, but not the hottest.
