I was really hyped up to see this film because I am a fan of Wu Jing and the previews made it seem like a decent action flick. I didn't expect it to be a great movie and maybe just a b-movie but sadly it doesn't deliver.

The story and the characters are poorly developed, with barely any background on any of the characters, and you're left questioning yourself. The action scenes are quite too over-the-top with heavy wirework, giving more reasons why Nicky Li has to stop action directing.

I only gave it a two because the lead actress (who happens to be the daughter of the white guy from "Snake In Eagle's Shadow") carries herself well and the movie has some moments. Once again Wu Jing is underused and will remain unfamous if he makes anymore flicks like this one.

I found this very entertaining. Wu Jing is always very watchable with the low-key characters he plays. A little over-dramatic at times and with maybe a little too much CGI fu, "Legendary Assassin" is better than most films of this genre.

The action was great, but I still feel Jacky Wu's full potential has not been used--and yes, I am a Jacky Wu fan from way back. He is such a top-notch martial arts actor and I wish to see him in an expensively made movie to make him recognized worldwide. As for the ending, I won't say much--it could have been more believable, but in my eyes it's still a very entertaining movie. Go Jacky!

Very formulaic for the young Wu Jing action star. It looks like he is co-executive producer and buddies with both the fight coordinator and director. It is noticeable with the very predictable action sequences and storyline. With that said, the movie is entertaining and great for a Saturday night or afternoon space filler.

Wu Jing's martial arts don't get quite the display they could, but the action is plentiful, well-staged, and reasonably well filmed. Celina Jade is an appealing leading lady, but some of the supporting actors were less amusing than they were meant to be.

This isn't great, and I expect much more from Wu Jing - but it's entertaining and worth viewing.

I really dug this film. Wu Jing is a great martial artist and the story for this film was better than most he picks. The fights were awesome and while there were a few slo-mo shots and fast editing in spots, this film showed a lot more of the fighting (a la old school KF flicks).

I really liked this movie a lot until the end (I won't ruin it for those that haven't seen it), where the film went from believable to a little far-fetched. Wu Jing has some great fight scenes, and co-star Celina Jade was equally fun to watch as well. I thought this was great until the end; the ending knocks this back a 1/2 star. With "Fatal Contact", "SPL", "Invisible Target", and now this film, I think Wu Jing's star is rising.

I found myself wondering when all the boring sentimentality would end. The fighting was top notch, but I wish I had more to cheer at through the film. I get that the storytelling style from the East seen through a Westerner's eyes is very different, and most times I buy into it. But only at the end do we get a reason for it all.

Wu Jing's directorial debut felt like a kid in a candy store--strange pacing and odd editing a few times left me wondering what the heck was going on when they finished shooting. The cast was solid, helping fill the void of a remedial script. I do feel that Wu Jing will get better, more confident and more meaningful in his choices in material.

See it and be impressed with the good fights had by all.

Nothing "Legendary" about this movie. It has a solid cast and a fair amount of fighting scenes, but I couldn't get over this B-movie type of feeling from the beginning. The plot is lame and lacks substance. The background settings are repetitive. I was expecting more out of this one. Wu Jing's martial arts skills saved this movie. Still, I was disappointed when the credits rolled.
