Plot:	After the deaths of his father and sister, Il Ji-Mae sets out to avenge his family with his only clue: the image of the sword that struck them down. Overview:	In the Joseon Dynasty period (AD 1600-1700), young Gyeom witnesses the murder of his father. Time passes by and Gyeom is raised by the most talent thief in the region named Yong. He is growing up to be a decent young lad. Soon after witnessing his sister's death, he decides to track down those responsible for the death of his family and seek bloody vengeance. His one and only clue is the sword that he saw strike his father down. The image of that sword had been seared into his memory and with nothing but that image in mind he immediately begins his search by robbing rich officials. Thus, Il Ji-Mae is born. Every night, high-class mansions are emptied one by one and a cherry blossom is painted on the wall as a mark. It resembes the work of an invisible spirit. Meanwhile, royal palace prosecutor Shi-Hoo becomes obsessed with catching Il Ji-Mae. King In-Jo feels threatened by the growing reputation as Il Ji-Mae as the king of the commoners and wants him to be captured. Mysterious deaths keep occurring after the death of his father. Small nail scratches are found on the dead bodies that keep turning up. The shocking truth emerges. Who wielded the sword with the black emblem? Il Ji-Mae then bravely embarks on his final mission!
