A combination of nunsploitation and torture porn, and yes while that doesn't sound entirely appealing it does manage to work simply because unlike almost every other torture porn movie I have seen ("Hostel", I am talking to you) the victim in this is actually sympathetic. Tiffany Shepis really shines in this movie, it is more than the usual confident smart-ass girls she usually plays with such gusto. In this she is vulnerable and really takes a beating. I've always liked Tiffany Shepis, she is definitely a step up from all the other girls currently in horror and truly deserves the title of Scream Queen. |
