| Overview: | Ruthless gangster Shing Fui-On pulls off a daring and violent heist of diamonds. He then enlists the aid of longtime triad member Chan Wai-Man to arrange a buyer for them. But when Shing double crosses the buyer, Chan ends up with the diamonds, wanted by both the cops and Shing.
Burnt-out undercover cop Stephen Chow is given one last assignment. He is ordered to befriend Chan and find out where the diamonds are. Stephen finds that Chan is actually a nice guy. Meanwhile, Chan likes Stephen and thinks he is the only person he can trust.
A fairly standard story where the undercover cop gets too emotionally involved with his target, but the chemistry between Chan and Chow is excellent. A slightly different movie and character for Chow who assumes a more serious role than he usually does.
