ALTERNATE SYNOPSIS:
When Yamazaki and his lazy friend Nishida attempt to rob a bank, they find that another bank robber has beaten them to the bank and has the loot. After a zany comedy of errors, Yamazaki ends up with the money, but when he accidentally stabs an innocent bystander, a cause-and-effect situation quickly spirals out of control. In the meantime, a trio of yakuza ends up killing a powerful Yakuza boss. As their path crosses with Yamazaki's, the story displays some interesting parallels about just-out-of-reach redemption and the unlikelihood of atoning for one's sins, all delivered in one very dark, black comedy package. |
