 | | | | Once you've seen one, you've seen them all. The nihilistic side of my personality thought this would be a good purchase and triumphed over the practical argument of whether it would be woth the money. I think there are far better purchases to be had at HKFlix than this one, and ultimately feel I should have chosen more wisely. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | "Harakiri" is an amazing film in the way it presents itself. There is little to no story in each segment. But each segment has a strange beauty to it. The mix of emotion presented by the actress is too hard to explain. The mixture of joy, fear, intrigue, eroticism, and the embrace of death itself creates a rainbow of human emotions. The films are among the bloodiest I have ever seen, with an armature style of filming gives them an amazing feel of reality. The gore effects are off the map. Really, watch this with the right person and their lunch well be in your lap. I would only suggest this to fans of major blood and gore cinema. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Sounded intriguing, but the reality was less than hot--6 stand-alone vignettes of often the same girl in a different "costume" looking thoughtful (supposedly about comitting suicide), then taking her top off and pretending to kill herself with a slow slash to the abdomen. All the hype on the box about "ultra hot fetish vixens" just isn't really there--pretty disappointing! | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This set contains several episodes of female harakiri scenes and all are done in real time, which explains why each episode lasts so long, over 40 minutes. Some are done by the same actress who puts on a very credible show. This actress explains why this series was made in the extra features and maybe it helps to view the interview first to prepare you for what you are about to see. To some this may be a geek show, to others an insight to the commitment of a cultural act deemed to be glorious for the defeated. Just to warn you, the acts are done in a very bloody manner, some with guts spilling out or being pulled out. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
