Plot:	Based on the 1957 novel of a famous English novelist whose dreams of a fabulous life in an extravagant mansion come true when her work falls into the hand of a publisher. But her dreams crack at the same speed as they blossom...
Overview:	Based on the 1957's novel of a famous English novelist Elizabeth Taylor, "Angel" is the first English movie of renowned French Director Francois Ozon. Angel Deverell (Romola Garai) is an ordinary girl who dreams of a fabulous life in an extravagant mansion "Paradise". Her dream soon comes true when her work falls into the hand of a publisher Theo. She immediately rises up the social ladder and portraits herself as a talented and elegant writer. She buys her dream house "Paradise" with her affluent revenue. Angel constructs her dreamland in "Paradise" - with numerous servants and pets; Nora, the poet she admires most to be her volunteer chamberlain and Esme(Michael Fassbender), the painter with whom she falls in love and marry. Unfortunately, her dreams crack at the same speed as blossom. Her fame, her love, her friendship and her "paradise" fall apart to the extent that she can no more cover them with her fantasies and lies. Director , Ozon once said this movie is a tribute to the 30s' and 40's Hollywood Melodrama, which can be easily noticed through the .glamorous style and the more-than-thirty magnificent costumes wore by Angel.
