A nice follow-up to the original. Again, highly nostalgic and romanticized, but it is good to see people overcoming the odds against them, neh?

Where the original "Always: Sunset On Third Street" was magnificent, the sequel (which continues exactly where the first leaves off) is a total disaster! Forced, trite, and gushing with over-the-top emotion, I almost overdosed on the raw sugar the film was forcing down my throat.

In Part Two, the characters seemed to lose about 30 IQ points each, and long speeches about love and/or morals made me reach for the barf bag on several occasions.

A bitter disappointment!

I love the previous movie, "Always: Sunset On Third Street". Outstanding overall movie with plot, comedy, humanity, direction, and acting of well known actors and actresses. This great movie shows the good old days in Japan when Japan used to value lives richn in happiness rather than the material world in which we are living now.
