Worthy follow up to the first in the series. Again, I was suprised at the creep factor.

I found this even more entertaining than the first two "Death Note" live action movies. If you like L, you're gonna love this movie.

This is the end of a great mystery. What happened to the legendary L as the 23 days counted down? What was his final mission? The story starts just at the end of the second movie. L is finishing all of his unfinished business when he is contacted by a fellow agent, K. K reports to him that the village he was investigating was attacked by a viral weapon of some sort. And he needs Wateri to help his friend F that was somehow immune to the viral agent. Soon he is contacted by a young girl whose father hade developed an antidote and died to protect it. The environmental protectors none as blue ship had developed the weapon to destroy non accentual humans in order to save the planet, but with no antidote they could not protect themselves. Can L take on such a large challenge with little time left? Can L save the world?

Personally I think the idea of mixing such a great fantasy story with such good characters and story with a half-baked storey of terrorists and biological weapons was a poor ending for such a great series. But maybe it is all in the same sense that evil to create a new world is still corrupt and will only serve to our destruction.

Lower your standards and maybe you'll get as much enjoyment out of this as I did. A solid picture, but the subject matter has been done before, to say the least. There are better "end of the world" pictures out there, but the charismatic and lovable L does make this ride a somewhat pleasent one.

This is a really good film to take you through L's last 23 days, and the actor who played as L done a wonderful job on bringing the anime and manga copy of L to the big screen. Not as good as "Death Note" but still a good movie nonetheless.

Not at all like the first two, which were real good, but this one has its own charm.

But now an editorial: I hope this review lives up to the 4-page reviews that some of you send in. 5 sentences about the movie and the rest to use that dictionary you have. When I look at the list of movies to buy, I read what it's about then see if there are any customer reviews. I read to see if they liked it and other movies they've seen and liked. I have nothing against the review of the month club and its members should accept us three-sentence reviewers too.

This is nothing like "Death Note", since it has nothing to do with it except for the Shinigami cameo and the character L, since it picks up before he dies. The film was disappointing to me because of the retarded story that seemed more like a "28 Days Later" plot, and the film seemed very dull compared to the "Death Note" franchise since there was no twist, tension, nor anything worth remembering. Only worth watching if you want to see what happens to L before he dies.

NPersonally I found this on a par wth the Death Note films. D.N. connection or no connection Iit's a good stand alone film and honestly L was the one character from Death Note I found interesting. It's nice getting a more character development.KEVINBELLAMY
