 | | | | This could have been a train wreck of a film, with every character's actions unmotivated, but by the end nearly everything is made clear. I didn't find this as affecting as the director's previous "Dog Bite Dog," but it is quite good. One probably watches it more for the action than the story, but both are worthy. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Good storyline to keep the person watching entertained, but lacks any real action and the fighting scenes aren't up to par. The thing that keeps this movie from being very good is the ending. All in all, it's not very bad, just not what I was looking for. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | I saw this flick a few nights ago and it's actually better than I expected. I heard about this movie some time ago but didn't have any interest in it. What amazed me with this film is the visuals--it looked anime as hell and the action was pretty well done. Shawn Yue is okay as the lead, but you probably won't like him because he plays a knucklehead in the film, and when you don't like the lead character in a movie, it's hard to like the movie at all. Francis Ng plays the badass karate master here and Bruce Leung plays the leader of the fighting tournament and gets to show that he's still got his stuff. The movie is very violent and is not for those who like light hearted happy films. Overall, it's better than most would expect due to decent action and visuals, but the annoying lead character and weak script kept this film from being better. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | | PakMei78 | | Y | Yes, the lead character was annoying, & the the script was so-so. I agree the visuals are top notch. | JV47842 |
