| Interesting take on psychos in the woods (although not inbred psychos in the woods, they just happen to be city psychos who went to the woods) terrorizing girls who happen to be more evil than the psychos. But it was put together poorly: like an East German car, it looks like a car and runs like a car for the first few miles, but then the wheels all fall off.
I think it was supposed to take place in the 60s, which is already a strike against it, because it raises the question why? And also it does a ratty job explaining it. But it just never really gets the job done when it comes to it.
Yeah there's blood, there's gore, there's some nasty deaths, but the plot keeps changing in the third act too much--too many people keep showing up, it needed to be the girls the psychos and that's it, but people just keep dropping by making it really hard to believe the cabin is really that isolated in the woods. It was a good idea that just didn't have enough good ideas to make it into a movie. |
