Plot:	A severe earthquake leaves a dog and her three adorable newborn puppies to their own devices in a devastated section of Japan after the townsfolk are evacuated. Based on a true story. Overview:	This is a story of life, based on reality. On October 23, 2004, an earthquake occurred with a magnitude of 6.8 in the Yamakoshi (now called Nagaoka). A dog named Mari gave birth to three pups on the very day of the earthquake. After the earthquake occurred and all of the people were evacuated to safety, Mari cared for her pups on her own amidst the devastation of nature, and greatly moved the residents by reappearing unharmed with her three pups after 16 days.
