Overview:	Gender inequality and class discrimination were severe in Choson Dynasty. Hwangjini was a celebrated gisaeng who never gave into prejudice. By looking through the life of the greatest gisaeng, one could see the way Hwangjini searched for the true meaning of life despite living in a society that was full of discrimination. Hwangjini and the other gisaengs were all around entertainers, excelling in poetry, arts, music and dance. Through the gisaengs various expressions of arts and cultures, one can experience Korea's unique culture, rethinking the value of love and searching for the real path of mankind.
